- Robin Banks Review added: 2018.05.01★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Whichever direction you are travelling just keep going to the next village where you will find a far warmer welcome. I'm sure the 2 or 3 locals who sometimes pop in for an hour in the evening see something that appeals. Perhaps it's the right-wing rants from the owners? Or maybe they like to get away from crowds and relax? Maybe it is the mild amusement of seeing an experienced publican struggle with the basics of a modern till system? Certainly it won't be for food as there is none... still. Shame, as I gather from the locals that they made a real effort in years gone by and the place was packed most nights with good food on offer. After alienating the majority of locals the pub is a desperate and empty place most nights. Best avoided until in new hands which, judging by the amount of spirits and cigarettes consumed behind the bar, may not be too long.
